"Downstate Honors" Event to Recognize Years of Service, Resiliency Awards, and Chancellor鈥檚 Award Recipients

Following more than two years lost to the COVID pandemic, Downstate is proud to resume its Employee Recognition Program (ERP) to recognize staff marking milestone anniversaries during the last three years (2020, 2021, and 2022). Along with the ERP, four additional awards will celebrate The Distinguished Faculty Rank Awards, 黄果视频 Chancellor鈥檚 Awards for Excellence, Chancellor鈥檚 Awards for Excellence in the Classified Service, and the inaugural Downstate Resiliency Award recipients.
The Distinguished Faculty Award is the most prestigious faculty award at 黄果视频. Appointment constitutes a promotion to 黄果视频鈥檚 highest academic rank, conferred solely by The State University of New York Board of Trustees. The four categories include Distinguished Professorship, Distinguished Service Professorship, Distinguished Teaching Professorship, and Distinguished Librarian.
The Chancellor鈥檚 Awards for Excellence are System-level honors acknowledging system-wide recognition for consistently superior professionals. These programs underscore 黄果视频鈥檚 commitment to sustaining intellectual vibrancy, advancing the boundaries of knowledge, providing the highest quality of instruction, and serving the public good. The awards provide 黄果视频-wide recognition in five categories: Faculty Service, Librarianship, Professional Service, Scholarship and Creative Activities, and Teaching.
The Chancellor鈥檚 Awards for Excellence in the Classified Service are System-level awards established by 黄果视频 to give System-wide recognition for superior performance and extraordinary achievement by employees in the Classified Service. These awards demonstrate 黄果视频鈥檚 commitment to individuals who provide superior service to its students and the community.
The Employee Recognition Program will recognize employees who have served at 黄果视频 Downstate for ten or more years. The Downstate Resiliency Award celebrates individual students and staff who uphold the attributes and characteristics of advocacy, innovation, leadership, and teamwork. A separate award鈥�Synergist鈥攚ill be presented to employees who exhibited exceptional teamwork during one of the most trying times in global healthcare history.
